MENTAL HEALTH

Mental Health vs Mental Illness

Mental health refers to the mental well being, including the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects. A person with good mental health typically feels good about themselves and aren't overwhelmed with emotions such as anxiety, fear, anger, etc

Mental illness is a mental condition that disrupts a person's personality, thinking, feelings, mood, daily functions and ability to relate to others. Some common mental illnesses are depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, and PTSD

BOTH  can affect a variety of people, regardless of age, race, or income. Mental Illness are treatable and are not a sign of "weakness". They can impact a person's well being, social life, and relationships with others.
