Hi everyone!
My name's Loustella, but I go by Lucy for short. I'm 24, an English major, and an author.
I've struggled with my mental health since I was about 17. I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 disorder when I was 21, but I still struggle with depression and anxiety from time to time. I'm a practicing witch and practice holistic healing as much as possible. But I do take mood stabilizers for my bipolar. I meditate every day or else I'll lose my mind. I've recently began learning about reiki energy healing, which also helps a lot, (accompanied by seeing my therapist once a week).
Apart from that, I'm also a dog mom (Abby, Siberian husky/German Shepard mix/age 4) and a bonsai tree mom (Yoko Ono, ficus, age 6). I'm bisexual/pansexual. I put both, because I originally came out as bisexual when I was a teenager, but technically my beliefs align with pansexual, but at the same time I've already made my home in the bisexual community. So the easiest way to sum up my sexuality is, I love people for their souls. I also
love music and writing. I typically write poetry, but growing up I loved writing YA fantasy.
I self-published a poetry collection last April, called Toast. It's more-so a story told with poetry. It's available on Amazon in paperback form and ebook form. The whole thing rhymes, which is kind of my writing style. The story goes in depth about my personal mental health journey.
I connected with The Monologue on Wattpad, a long time ago. They were my first author interview. :) Then, I had applied for one of their social media manager positions, but due to my book release, college, and life stresses, I had to give up my role. BUT lucky for me, The Monologue are great people and great friends, and they have since offered me a brand ambassador position -which I'm very grateful for. I love being a part of The Monologue brand, I love everything they stand for, and the conversations they start. Being a brand ambassador seems to fit my lifestyle a bit more, because it allows me to work at my own pace. I can't wait to get to know more of The Monologue community. :D Don't be shy! Please introduce yourself! XX
